The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) established the (CIFOR-POLEX) electronic listserver
in July 1997 as a free information service to the global forest community on policy issues. Previous
CIFOR POLEX messages can be found at the CIFOR website. Write to the above address asking to be put
on the list.

This is a very useful mailing list on forest research and studies with some 900 subscribers worldwide.
To start your subscription
do the following:

Send an e-mail to
LISTSERV@LISTSERV.FUNET.FI
with the following message:

You will need to issue the "subscribe" command; the listserver software will then extract
your e-mail address from your
message and add it to the recipient list. The first row of your message should be:

SUBSCRIBE forest your full name

The server program will reply to you with a confirmation message, and you are then able to receive messages
from the list.

Save the instructions that you receive for further reference.

You will be sent a request to confirm your subscription once a year.
