bullet1 TRICKS of the TRADE

While I was working for the Department of International Development (DFID) in London,  the senior forestry advisor, John Hudson, was keen to provide his technical cooperation officers working overseas with appropriate information to help them do their work..

It was agreed that one important means would be by learning from the experiences of colleagues with regard to what made projects successful. Although a lot was written about theoretical large-scale procedures, much less was written about practical tricks of the trade.

So I started to collate examples of such tricks and note them down so that they could be passed on to others. You can read here what we found out.  Of course, there are hundreds of such tricks, and it is difficult to know what to include and what not.

Read through the examples given here, and I’m sure they will stimulate your memory with regard to your own tricks of the trade. If you can think of some good ones, let me know and I will include them here so that others can benefit from them.
