TURNING UP UNEXPECTEDLY
When you are working closely with counterparts and perhaps reliant on them for effective communication,
there can be a
tendency to always be accompanied when you show up to field venues, meetings, etc.. This is inevitable
up to a point but it
can get claustrophobic. Occasionally it pays to simply break out, make your own way and turn up on your
own
unexpectedly. Even if the language is a limitation, or convention would expect otherwise, it usually
does you good and no
one any harm to remind yourself and others that you are a free agent. You don't need to make it a habit,
but it can be
interesting for a change.
